A Chaumet necklace worth about EUR 600,500 ($670,500) is the number one item in the Joaillerie Paris sale, which will take place from June 19 to 27. A clasp set with round and rectangular brilliant-cut diamonds weighing 0.81 cts adds something special to the exquisite design, which includes three strands of naturally sourced pearls. It’s the most expensive lot in a collection that also features unforgettable designs by Boucheron and Van Cleef & Arpels.
A 19th-century brooch, which was owned by Empress Caroline Augusta from Austria, is among the most historically significant items that will go under the hammer. The estimated maximum value of a rare Fabergé vase with violets from a private collection in France is approximately the same. An 18-karat gold stem with purple flowers made from enamel and nephrite green parts is set in the cylinder-shaped rock crystal vessel.
