Custom Signet Rings, Bespoke Gold & Platinum Signet Rings

Custom signet rings are more than jewelry — they are a statement of identity and meaning. In today’s digital world, it’s easy to lose connection with your heritage, values, and personal symbols. A custom signet ring brings that meaning back through a design made specifically for you — not just to show the world, but to remind yourself.

This is where custom signet rings come in. They are literally designed to confirm authenticity and can be used even today as a kind of stamp. Of course, no one forces you to apply these pieces for actual seals. They can serve as dignified reminders of your status.
Signet pieces with personalized faces may feature all kinds of designs: from classic family crests to edgy biking imagery. The only thing to keep in mind is that the image is reversed, which is especially important when creating initial rings for men and women.

Olertis is a truly talented team of professionals! I'm very pleased with my custom ruby brooch. It's nice that they were able to use some of my previous gold (I had no desire to just throw it away or let it sit). We made a few changes to the design during production and it ended up taking a bit longer to complete (about another week), however, I think the end result was definitely worth it. I like the idea of getting something that's truly one-of-a-kind rather than buying something mass-produced. Thank you again!

I am so happy with how our custom wedding bands turned out. The pattern is detailed but not overly intricate. Both bands are extremely comfortable to wear daily, and they are perfect for what we were going for as far as something different then standard plain bands. Thank you Olertis for helping us decide on the design elements.

I decided to create a new family heirloom by converting my grandmother’s long-standing family stone into an engagement ring with Olertis. I wasn’t looking for anything trendy, just wanted something that felt right. The staff spent a considerable amount of time educating me about options and designs, but they never pushed. I think what I enjoyed the most was the respect the staff had towards the history of the stone. The final product does not feel over-designed or contrived. When I asked her to marry me, she did not miss a beat. That response said everything I needed to know.

For my ice chain, I went full throttle and Olertis delivered. They captured the exact look I envisioned. Each stone is vibrant, evenly spaced, and the whole piece feels solid in hand. The shine is tremendous but it does not appear gaudy or unrefined.

Olertis designed a tie-clip that I hadn’t considered previously myself - precisely because that’s why I opted for a custom solution. It is sleek, clean-cut and possesses adequate personality without becoming too boisterous. Overall - excellent outcome! 10/10

Upon visiting Olertis with a somewhat fragmented concept for a family crest signet ring that lacked clarity in terms of execution - Natalie somehow grasped the essence of my intent and assisted in translating it into something organized and cohesive. She removed clutter where it existed in excess, altered proportions so that it appeared balanced, and achieved an engraved design that was crisp but not too prominent (a critical component for me). The final ring feels sturdy, rests comfortably against my finger, and lacks pretentiousness - which is impressive based on how Davidmanaged this project. Great job!

Before ordering a custom piece from Olertis, I didn’t have a clear idea of the final design, which is unusual for me. Throughout the creative process, the staff at Olertis guided me toward various directions without attempting to push any extraneous elements onto me. The end result feels authentic, as if it is something that I might have selected if I could visually envision it from the beginning. Also I didn’t expect it to be ready in just three weeks, so that was a really nice surprise.

When creating custom pin badges for my work team and faced with a relatively short timeline, I was pleasantly surprised with how promptly Olertis managed each phase of production. Their efficiency allowed for timely completion of designs, revisions were seamless and all of the completed pin badges were aesthetically perfect. No part of the process seemed hurried, everyone in the team immediately recognized the superior quality of the pins upon receiving them - which is what I really hoped for.If I decide to start any other custom jewelry project in the future, I would certainly reach out to them.

Huge thanks to Mark for all his help! This project was less about developing an exciting design and more about telling a story. Since the agate stones originated from a lake where I vacationed with my mother, I desired to avoid a flashy or excessive aesthetic. Instead, Olertis transformed it into a customized necklace and kept the design minimal, allowing the stones to tell their story. This resulted in a necklace that is wearable casually, yet maintains sufficient emotional significance.

Olertis fashioned a gold pendant from several antique pieces that I had stored in a drawer. Honestly, I did not anticipate that it would be as cost-effective as it ultimately was. It also carries significant sentimental value.

Finding the right drop earrings was tougher than I anticipated. I kept noticing small issues, too rigid, too heavy, wrong angle — so we went through a few rounds of adjustments. Credit to Olertis for persevering through the back-and-forth, ultimately fine-tuning the movement of the earrings. The earrings dangle freely now and don’t get in the way at all. To date, I have worn them continuously throughout the entire day and haven’t even given them a second thought, which speaks volumes.

It was a little tough to choose tanzanite when I started shopping, but now I am super happy I chose it. The platinum setting helps keep everything clean, and the stone has such great depth — I can’t quite describe it unless you see it in person. In different lighting, the stone shifts just enough to keep things interesting. At the same time , nothing about this custom ring feels oversized or over-the-top. It’s low-key, but still stands out.

I had an excellent experience with Olertis and couldn't be happier with the final result. They truly delivered exactly what I was looking for. When they first shared the 3D design of my custom ring, I noticed an extra bezel detail that didn't quite match my vision. I'm not usually comfortable speaking up in situations like that, but when I asked about making a change, they were incredibly understanding, responsive, and easy to work with.

Their communication throughout the entire process was consistent and reassuring. Although the ring arrived slightly later than originally estimated, I was kept informed every step of the way, which I really appreciated.

Overall, the quality, service, and customer care were outstanding. I would absolutely work with them again for any future custom jewelry pieces.

A Signet Ring: An Ultimate Symbol of Status

Do you consider yourself royalty or a person of noble descent? If so, you might already have a special signet ring that is passed down from generation to generation. This ring may feature a family’s coat of arms, a monograph, or another custom signet ring design.

Surprisingly, the tradition of signet rings started over 5,000 years ago in Ancient Mesopotamia and then Egypt. Their primary purpose was to make a seal on a document and to confirm its authenticity. Only highly regarded noblemen were allowed to have such a piece, making signet rings one of the earliest forms of custom men’s jewelry. Of course, all of them featured a unique custom ring design specific to an individual wearer, much like modern custom signet rings. Mesopotamian rings commonly depicted the solar deity Shamash, while Egyptian ones bore different hieroglyphs such as ankh or the Horus eye.

The biggest evolution in terms of materials used was observed during the Bronze Age. While the earliest specimens from that time were made out of bone, ivory, and soft stones, the late Bronze rings were already created from metal (mostly gold, bronze, and silver). Ancient Greeks and Romans were civilizations that put signet rings to the next level with their intricate designs and stonework. Some of them featured a swivel or a rotating element that would allow for the seal to be double-faced. Others boasted beautiful multicolored gemstones on their bezel faces (for example, agate, lapis lazuri, and garnet), similar to today’s custom signet rings with gemstones.

While the Greeks had a more casual attitude toward these rings and used them for decorative purposes, ancient Romans favored a more serious approach. In ancient Rome, these jewelry items were used by every citizen of the Empire for their original purpose of stamping documents as well as during times of warfare when the defeated party had to surrender its soldiers’ rings.

However, the biggest popularity of this jewelry came during the Middle Ages and then the Renaissance. All people of noble descent were obliged to have a custom gold signet ring bearing a family’s crest. Such pieces were also used by prominent merchants and artisans to “certify” their work or product. Custom family crest rings were worn by officials and other important people in case they needed to put a hot wax stamp on paperwork, much like modern custom family crest signet rings. According to some traditions, the signet rings had to be destroyed after the death of the wearer to prevent anyone who is in possession of a ring from fabricating documentation, while in other families, the ring had to be passed on through generations.

Custom Signet Rings: Meaning, Design & Personal Identity

Some famous examples of historically significant rings are ancient pharaoh’s rings from Egypt, the Theseus Ring from Greece that dates back 3,500 years ago, and the Piscatory piece worn by Vatican popes. In today’s digital world, signet rings have almost lost their original purpose. Any modern official would likely sign an important document through Blockchain technology rather than with a custom wax seal ring. But despite that, these pieces have never lost their charm and appeal, and today custom signet rings remain a symbol of identity and personal expression.

A custom ring may mean that you belong to a particular group, whether it’s a company, a bikers’ club, or a secret masonic society. They may bear any kind of image from a cat’s paw for pet owners to symbols of faith for religious people. The possible imagery truly has no limits. This is why it’s so important to create a perfect signet piece that would highlight your connection to a specific group, lineage, creed, etc., especially when designing a personalized signet ring.

This is the ultimate way of telling the world who you are and where you come from. The Olertis Jewelry team will do its best to meet all your standards and come up with a gorgeous bespoke signet ring crafted in solid gold or platinum that proves your authenticity in every sense of the word.
