A mind-blowing single-owner collection of Cartier jewelry will be auctioned live at Bonhams Hong Kong on May 26. The collection features some impressive precious stones worth attention.
There are several examples of sophisticated animal and mythical creature-inspired jewelry, like a set of Cartier Panthère earrings with diamond-adorned panther heads. The earrings featuring onyx were created around 2010 and are expected to fetch up from $23,014 to $35,800 (HKD 180,000 to HKD 280,000).
Another stunning piece in the animal-themed design is a diamond Panthère bracelet, a true testament to the artistry of Cartier. This bracelet, expected to be sold for $35,800 to $61,372 (HKD 280,000 to HKD 480,000), was crafted in 2010. To recreate animal spots, jewelers surrounded onyx with diamonds in a “fur” setting technique.
A pair of Dragon earrings, dated around 2011, features clear and colored diamonds and is estimated to bring up to $35,800 (HKD 280,000). The earrings are made in the shape of mythical Chinese dragons encrusted with round-cut white diamonds with yellow diamond eyes.
An example of the most recognized Cartier’s collection, an exclusive custom Cartier Diamond Love bracelet with 46.62 cts of pavé-set clear diamonds, 1,509 round-cut diamonds to be precise, is showcased at the auction. The tapered bangle features three semicircle onyx clasps that resemble Cartier’s famous screws. The design was crafted around 2010 and is expected to bring between $57,537 and $108,680 (HKD 450,000 to HKD 850,000).

A rectangular-shaped ring features a vivid yellow diamond flanked by clear diamond shoulders with two impressive 0.7 trapezoid facets arranged as parallel lines to one another on all four sides to emphasize the diamond’s clarity and brilliance.
