Graceful diamonds, unique gems, and tender pearls have always been a hallmark of the Academy Award fashion — and this year, they also were trending and stealing the spotlight.
The Oscars is definitely the most anticipated and important event in the Hollywood film calendar, as well as the chance to shine exclusive pieces. The most prestigious jewelry houses are ready to lend actors and celebrities the most prized and valuable pieces from their vaults. We’ve rounded up 6 of the most sensational examples of head-turning looks from the 2025 red carpet.
Mikey Madison, who got her statuette as the Best Actress, paired her black and rose dress with a vintage diamond neckpiece from the archives of the House of Tiffany. At the heart of the platinum-iridium and diamond necklace (crafted in the 1910s) was an almost 4-carat old European-cut diamond set in a beautiful drop pendant. It is hard to avert attention from such a glamorous piece, but there was another jewel that managed to do it. A ring with a stone that is about self-love and confidence — a pink tourmaline made heads turn. To make it a real statement piece, the actress had chosen an unconventional finger to wear it — a pinky finger.

Michelle Yeoh, who took home her first Oscar two years ago, was a picture of pure and bold elegance. She accessorized her outfit with an extravagant, asymmetrical Boucheron Plume de Paon diamond ear piece that resembles a feather that wrapped her ear. A reverse Quatre Radiant Edition tie necklace was a perfect way to complement a gorgeous strapless dress that featured a dramatic train.

Red on red is definitely a risky combination, but British singer-songwriter Raye pulled it off with effortless elegance, making it a bold statement that showed her fierce energy. The stunning neckpiece designed by Lorraine Schwartz featured a sleek diamond chain with a large, deep red ruby pendant as the centerpiece. While there is no doubt that you will see a lot of diamonds during the Oscars night, some stars chose colorful gems and certainly made the right choice.

The ladies sure brought class and gem-studded sophistication to the ceremony. However, the Hollywood A-list men also made some serious jewelry statements that should be paid attention to.
Kieran Culkin will be remembered for his incredible speeches during this award season, but his accessory choice for the Oscars is something that made our hearts melt. The Best Supporting Actor winner is known for wearing bracelets that his kids made for him to every interview and high-end event, the big night wasn’t an exception. But there was another splendid item that was the actor’s shoutout to his family — the custom Fred Leighton and Kwiat brooch. The three stones that are arranged vertically on a platinum pin are the birthstones of his wife and two kids. These colored, bright gems are a pear cut Colombian emerald, a princess cut peridot, and a cushion cut sapphire.

Robert Downey Jr., who presented the Oscar to Kieran Culkin, spotted vintage jewelry that dates back to 1956. The actor’s suit jacket was adorned with a twin berry brooch designed by Jean Schlumberger for Tiffany & Co. This accessory brilliantly stood out against the black outfit, adding a touch of style to the look. The intricate design, featuring a mix of shimmering ruby stones, subtly echoed the deep red hues of the actor’s wife Susan Downey’s sequined gown, creating a beautifully coordinated red carpet moment.

Colman Domingo was also among the vintage jewelry fans as he complemented his red suit with unconventional and eye-catching pieces from the Boucheron vaults. A 1956 ribbon clip featuring a basket weave pattern adorned his lapel, while a gold rope chain tassel bracelet with diamond accents, crafted roughly a decade earlier, completed the look. However, these rich in texture and detail pieces are not the only accessories that the actor wore to the red carpet. Fuzzy, the Leopard Cat ring was quite an unexpectedly on-point addition to the look. Colman Domingo wore the diamonds and emeralds ring on his pinky finger.
