The Grown Diamond Trade Organization (GDTO) celebrates a significant accomplishment in the artificial diamond industry. The number of GDTO Jewelry Reports exceeded 50,000, which is considered great progress and a contribution to achieving the organization’s goals. GDTO seeks to assist its members in delivering ethically sourced, sustainable, and visually unique diamond jewelry using transparent and conscious practices. Retailers benefit from this program by gaining more trust from the consumers as they become confident in their purchases.

The sellers definitely lacked a reliable method for communicating the special ethical and environmental benefits of lab-grown diamonds to prospective buyers. GDTO’s Jewelry Reports and GDTO’s detailed eco-friendliness survey made it possible to share honest and accurate sustainability ratings with consumers along with the accepted Color & Clarity grades. This transparent solution made a huge impact on the industry.

In general, customers are eager to make informed decisions and strive towards more sustainable options.  In recent years, this trend has become obvious, and GDTO has found a way to transform how lab-grown diamonds are presented to the public. The organization highlights major differences between man-made stones and the long history of mined ones.

GDTO contributes to the industry by promoting best practices, giving more possibilities for transparency, and building up consumer loyalty.

There is also another important piece of news to share, as the GDTO Advisory Board was joined by two leading figures in the industry.

Riddhika Poddar from Aarush Diam has become the first woman to join the GDTO Advisory Board. Her appointment represents a huge milestone in the organization’s efforts to bring fresh views to the industry.

According to Poddar’s observations, consumer demand is growing rapidly, especially compared to recent years. It broadens from a market primarily centered on the U.S. to a more global one that includes European countries, Australia, and India. She is ready to support GDTO’s mission and unite those who produce and retail these stunning stones. Poddar expects that the organization’s efforts towards creating a single voice for consumers and consolidating jewelry market will be fruitful.

Leon Peres, the CEO of Green Rocks, has also been appointed as a new member of the Advisory Board. He highlighted the increasing consumer demand for artificial diamonds and the need for some major organization like GDTO to impact the fine jewelry sector operations. Peres argues that GDTO’s unified voice will effectively communicate with both the retailers and buyers to improve the industry’s overall condition.
