Jewelers of America (JA) will recognize John Green, the company president of the Lux Bond & Green jewelry store network, with a Lifetime Achievement Award.
John Green has been a part of the most prestigious annual galas GEM Awards as chair. Moreover, he was a Chairperson of the Board for Jewelers of America and is now celebrated for his contribution to both these organizations. Current JA CEO David Bonaparte mentioned that John Green’s contribution to the industry is huge, and this outstanding award is a way to pay tribute to his service. The event will take place in spring 2025 in New York City.
Since 1898, Lux Bond & Green has provided high-quality services and craftsmanship, making John Green the fourth-generation owner. Everything started in Connecticut and expanded with time. Now, the chain consists of five stores in both Connecticut and Massachusetts. Moreover, a new concept location, Store 52, offers a thoughtfully curated selection of products. Green has also held multiple leadership positions across the industry besides the one mentioned above. These include Jewelers Mutual and the Gemological Institute of America (GIA).
His tireless devotion to the jewelry industry, his family-owned business, and his committed service have brought Green to this milestone event. The GEM Awards acknowledge the outstanding efforts of individuals and organizations whose work contributes to elevating the prominence and reputation of fine jewelry and watches. The rest of the nominees will be announced in the next few weeks.
